The new influencer tech stack
lets go to market
Gone are the days of influencers sitting back waiting for brand deals, and of brands sitting back watching 1 macro creator drive all of their sales.
We’re in the MARKETPLACE era!
When I first discovered influencer marketplaces it was always really weird in there- you’d sync up your data ready to look for the perfect brand partner and get in only to find digital tumbleweeds, or brands no one has heard of that looked like a scam.
I’ve been weird about marketplaces for a while for that reason, I felt like it was random unknown influencers (me) and random unknown brands (them) somehow thinking they would connect like a bad dating app.
They’ve come a LONG way- I recently signed up for a few just to see the workflow and brands available and maybe even to do some brand deals to get my feet wet for old times sake.
The good brands are all there, the strong creators are there ready to make high quality user generated content and the UX/UI are actually user friendly.
I was pretty impressed by the flow of this one, I had tagged Oura rings in a gift guide I made and got this auto reply from the Oura account to apply to be a UGC partner. There are a ton of incredible brands in the Kale app, seems like a heavy focus on the CPG & beauty spaces.
I can’t remember how I found out about this one but its workflow is incredible. You essentially login, plug in your social handles and it shows brands that are a strong match for you. It then creates a media kit for you(!) and helps you craft emails to brand managers and keep track of all of your content and deals. You can also create & manage invoices here without a fee. You get a certain amount of “pitch credits” depending on your plan, coaching and more.
Look at this template it makes for you, automatically plugging in all the variables!
This is an unpaid, unaffiliated review, but they do have a referral code for anyone who signs up using my link: july.bio/invite/alexandra_rhughes503
A colleague in the space told me about this one, so I had to check it out when I heard how easy It was. Upon syncing your data I have to say it is appealing seeing the potential earnings on the table. Positioned as “challenges” and seemingly a little more music/tiktok foused
I heard about this via LinkedIn and one of the founders kindly invited me to check it out- positioned as a large group chat for creators to discuss some of the topics below.
In the early days we were in these things called “pods” that were a great place to connect/support other creators and countless Facebook groups that often end up becoming unhinged and hard to manage or monetize.
I love this concept and am excited to dive in!
